Job Description

We are looking for a junior software developer to work on our irrigation platform, currently in an applied research stage. This platform will reduce water usage and to allow for a high degree of control over how vineyards are watered. This fully remote position requires working on varied tasks, alongside a small, motivated team, with a high level of autonomy. This will be a part-time, temporary position with the intent of leading to a permanent role at the end of the probationary period. You will work with talented engineers with FAANG experience that will provide mentoring and support.

Requirements

Must be eligible to work in B.C.
Working towards, or recently completed, a degree in computer science or equivalent
A passion for building user-friendly interfaces
Interest in working on back and front-end technologies

Preferred qualifications

Experience working in agile teams and in a remote environment
Experience with React
Experience with C#
Experience with Git workflow
Experience with AWS
Experience building APIs

Environment & Compensation

Flexible and remote working arrangements
Mentorship and support from experienced senior software engineers
$25 - $35/hour depending on experience and skill level
